United Way Day of Caring Minimize
On Wednesday June 9, a group of workers from Praxair, volunteered their services as part of a Day of Caring sponsored by United Way.  The volunteers spent the day helping to beautify the Club by weeding and mulching.  By the end of the day, the Club looked beautiful!  Thank you to the staff at Praxair for all of their hard work, and to United Way for sponsoring such a great event!

Memorial Day Minimize
Did you know that the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield Rocks!?!  That was the theme of our float this year, with a special thanks to someone who really rocks for his 10 years of dedication to our Club - Terry Hughes!  After the parade, we ended the day with a picnic for our members, and a small ceremony to thank Terry.  Hundreds of members and their families (including some special alumni) stopped by for the event!  It was a great day for everyone, and a tradition we hope to keep.  Take a look at our photo gallery to view pictures of our rockin' float!
National Conference Minimize
The Boys & Girls Club professional staff, Terry, Mike, Brian, Kim, Kristin, Susan and Gerry, recently had the opportunity to attend a 3-day Boys & Girls Club of America National Conference.  They each had the opportunity to attend general sessions featuring guest speakers and also attend smaller breakout sessions throughout the day.  They were also able to meet with staff from Boys & Girls Club's from around the country and overseas, (Did you know there are more than 4,000 Boys & Girls Clubs for America?) and exchange ideas!  Perhaps, the most entertaining part of the conference was the entertainment provided by members from Boys & Girls Clubs.  They were able to share their talent with the thousands of professionals that where there by singing, dancing and much more!  It was a great experience for all the staff members!
Penny Wars Update Minimize
Penny wars was a great success!  The staff at the Club challenged the members to raise $500, and if they did we would all take a pie in the face.  Of course, our members didn't let us down, so true to our word we all took pies in the face!  To see a video of the event, log on to ridgefield.patch.org.

Thank you to everyone who brought in their change to help support the Keystone Club!
Penny Wars Minimize
The Keystone Club is sponsoring a Penny Wars at the Club!  The staff member that has the most change in their bucket on March 8, will receive a pie in the face!  Terry, Mike, Brian, Kim, Kristin, Susan, Ed and our volunteer Mark, have all agreed to enter their name in the race!  For every silver coin that gets put in their bucket, they will receive positive points, and all pennies are negative.  Make sure you put pennies in the buckets of the staff member that you don't want to see win.  It's gonna be a close race, bring in your coins now!  If the kids bring in more than $500 in change, every staff member is going to take a pie in the face - that's right, every staff member!  :)  Check back for updates on who is in the lead.....

Turkey Trot Minimize
The 28th annual Turkey Trot and the 8th Annual Kids Fun Run were a huge success this Thanksgiving!  We are proud to say that on Thanksgiving morning, we had more than 860 registered participants for our 28th annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Road Race.  The day started out with our 8th annual kids fun run lead by Tom the Turkey!  Our 5k road race kicked off at 8:30 and was one of our most successful yet!  Thank your for being a part of our annual Turkey Trot fundraiser.  The proceeds of the road race benefit the daily operation of the Club.  Thank you for giving back to us on Thanksgiving!
